Barcadera is one of those almost-never-crowded spots, which makes it a great place to spend the whole day with a barbecue and a crate of beer. For the children there is a section of beach that is sheltered from the chop.
There is no rescue here. The wind is side-shore and you can drift downwind, and downwind of Barcadera lies Aruba’s industrial area, including a dump. That is not where you want to come ashore. Whatever happens, always go with a buddy.
