West Point, or “Westpunt”, is one of the most famous and legendary spots on the island. For windsurfers it has long been the proving ground for wave sailing. Wave riding is on port tack, with clean wind.
The most advanced locals know exactly where the rocks lie under water, and there are plenty. Believe it or not, this break is safer on bigger days than on shallow ones.
