Barcadera is one of those almost-never-crowded spots. This makes it a great place to spend all day with a BBQ pit and a crate of beer. For the children in the family there is a section of beach that shelters a section of beach from the chop.
Just like many other spots described in this Kitesurf guide, there is no rescue available here either. The wind is side shore and you can drift downwind. The problem with coming back to shore downwind is that the area around Barcadera is Aruba’s industrial area and includes a dump. This last place might not be so pleasant to land in when you consider the smell. So whatever happens, always go with a buddy.
